Garden Maintenance Positions

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Garden Maintenance Specialists to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining our client’s gardens to a high standard. You will be expected to possess excellent knowledge of various plant species, their specific needs, and the appropriate time of the year to perform garden maintenance tasks. You must also be able to install and maintain irrigation systems, manage pests and diseases, and fertilise plants as required.

Responsibilities

  • Planting, pruning, and maintaining trees, shrubs, perennials and all other plants. You must have knowledge of how to maintain each specific plant, and time of the year for garden tasks.
  • Installing and maintaining irrigation systems, including sprinklers and drip lines.
  • Monitoring and managing pests and diseases that can impact the health of plants.
  • Monitoring and managing fertilising of plants
  • Be able to follow and alter Garden Maintenance plans
  • Project record keeping of tasks carried out and planning.
  • Maintaining tools and equipment used for gardening and landscaping work.
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in landscape gardening.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience industry experience
  • An Amenity horticulture qualification is an advantage
  • Knowledge and experienced with all aspects of gardening
  • Excellent Plant knowledge and ability to follow planting plans
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and other professionals
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Conduct site visits and inspections
  • Project record keeping of tasks carried out and planning.
  • Maintain tools and equipment used

Successful landscape gardeners possess a combination of practical and technical skills, including an understanding of plant biology, knowledge of horticultural practices and techniques, excellent plant knowledge, physical stamina and strength, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for ensuring that our gardens and outdoor spaces are healthy, attractive, and well maintained.
